When we cook big meats on our smoker, like a pork butt, we are after a bold, savory bite with a killer bark that has the perfect saltiness, the correct ratio of 16-mesh pepper, a hint of garlic and the ability to caramelize with the fats on the meat so that it forms an irresistible bark.

Our Pork Rub is a clean Central Texas Style BBQ rub without the fillers that can cause caking and flaking on your bark. We think you’ll find that this Pork Seasoning allows your meat to retain all the natural BBQ flavors and juices for that perfectly cooked taste and tenderness that allows the meat to shine.

For competition BBQ cooks that like to layer the flavor and create added complexity, our Pork Dry Rub Seasoning is perfect as a base layer before adding on other complex blends such as our All-Purpose Rub. For Competition use, first apply the pork rub let it set for 10 minutes and then follow up and apply the All-Purpose Rub and let set for another 10-15 minutes.
